a Tissue sections were stained by DAPI.
b The nuclear sizes of spermatogonia are so varied and hardly to be discriminated from the spermatocytes under DAPI staining. The criteria to define the spermatogonia are their peritubular localization and lesser numbers of the cells than those of the spermatocytes in mature testis.
